A CINEMA proposal for Cameron Toll shopping centre has been approved.
Edinburgh councillors backed a recommendation for approval by planners, the details of which can be found on the city council’s planning applications portal, here.
Says the application: “Proposed cinema development (Class 11) with ancillary Class 1 (retail), Class 2 (Financial and Professional Services) and Class 3 (Food and Drink) use, reconfiguration of existing car park and landscaping (as amended).”
Reports broadcasters, STV, the application was voted for by a margin of ten to one, and the complex – to be operated by Empire Cinemas – will include a restaurant and a GP practice.
It adds: “The £12m development will lead to a loss of 128 parking spaces, however new racks for bicycles will be installed.”
